ROUND ROCK, Texas?A kinder, gentler Manny Ramirez says he feels no pressure and has no timeline in his latest attempt to get back to the big leagues.
The 41-year-old slugger was set to bat cleanup for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday, three days after joining the Texas Rangers on a minor league contract.
? Ramirez seriously cuts off his hair
The 12-time All-Star who once forced his way out of Boston and was suspended for testing positive for banned drugs says he is "changed, made better" by his experiences.
Ramirez says he's happy to have "a chance to play the game I love." He hasn't appeared in the majors since 2011 with Tampa Bay. A comeback attempt with Oakland last year failed, and he recently finished a three-month stint in Taiwan.
